 WORKSHOP MUSIC GROUP

People listen to your music for two reasons:

They trust you.

They know you exist.

To earn their trust,

you need to allow them to get to know you.

You also need great music.

Music that will change things.

Music that might not solve the problem,

but reminds us all we aren’t going it alone.

Music that makes them listen, and music that makes them talk.

On the dance floor or the bedroom floor,

songs have the power to speak a language all their own.

We help to cultivate and grow the careers of artists

that have something to say, and help them find the songs that say it.

For people to know you exist, you need to introduce yourself.

Social media means we are all walking business cards, the introduction is the easy part.

It's what comes next that's the challenge.

To get people to care, you need to tell them a story they care about.

Your audience doesn’t want announcements, they want stories.

They want to get to know you.

We help artists tell stories.

We help artists capture themselves.

We help artists turn business cards, into real relationships.

Whether it’s artist management or audio production,

everything we do at Workshop starts with relationships of trust.

MARK SCHROOR

ARTIST MANAGEMENT + PRODUCTION

Mark Schroor is the kind of guy that's gonna wear a shirt full of holes to a business meeting. He's a walking advertisement for thinking differently.

Different is good.

Enthusiastic, passionate, a big idea guy, and a big heart guy. Mark's a champion for what he believes in. On stage, in the studio, or in the office. It'll be a shirt full of holes, and a head full of ideas.

As a drummer and producer, Mark's toured and worked in the studio with Juno, CCMA, and GMA award winners. He's met half his heroes, given himself third degree burns on his feet during a drum solo, and autographed things he shouldn't be autographing, he'll die a happy man.

As co-founder and one half of Workshop’s management team, Mark has been instrumental in guiding the careers of major label and independent artists like Robyn Ottolini, Owen Riegling, and Eric Ethridge.

ERIK FINTELMAN

ARTIST MANANGEMENT + PRODUCTION

A co-founder of Workshop Music Group, Erik Fintelman is the unofficial captain of the red team, making sure the crazy ideas we come up with go through a good and healthy ‘reality check’ phase. Does he wear a hat shaped as stop sign and crush dreams for fun ? Only on Mondays. Kidding. Kind of. He's the pragmatic thinker, the level headed voice, dead set on filtering the best ideas from the pile. Every team needs a guy like this. There's no leash on creativity, but try putting 10 barking dogs in a room together and ask yourself what you hear ? That's why we have a red team. That's why we have Erik.

Erik's knowledge of music and the industry marketplace has been curated through his years of experience as an award winning producer, a live touring musician, and a generous amount of time spent wearing all the hats that come with artist management. Even the stop sign one.

Erik has developed an intimate knowledge of artist presentation and promotion , as well as a diverse network in the music community. He is and always will be passionate (occasionally a little too passionate) about standing behind art that creates an impact in its format.

KODE ROBERTS

MARKETING DIRECTOR + DAY TO DAY MANAGER

(Ko-Dee — like Kobe).

If no-nonsense had a name and pragmatism had a personality, it’d be Kode Roberts. And it would definitely be spelled with a K.

Kode is 50% marketing genius and 100% get-it-done, with a side helping of book addict. She adds an arsenal of skills to the Workshop team, including marketing coordination, digital ads management, graphic design, web design to name a few.. She also does a heck of a job of keeping us all on the rails when the wheels are about to fall off (ugh I mean, that totally never happens).

Kode is the “get shit done” to our “dream up crazy shit”. She’s the “how” to our “how much”. And there ain’t a doubt in my mind that our artists are better off for having her around.

RYAN KENNEDY

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Ryan Kennedy has had a career with no roadmap. Currently working under the title 'creative director' because 'weirdo art ninja' lacks professionalism, he takes 20 years of art hack experience and uses it to help artists visualize the voice in their head. Ryan's toured the world, had a couple major label deals, been on MTV (when that was a thing), sold a pair of pants to Miley Cyrus, and guest starred on an episode of Degrassi at Drake's request. There's no roadmap to a successful life, but there might be one to an artists brand. That's what Ryan does.
